An innovative fusion of gourmet food and exhilarating dance that explores our complex relationships with food and with ourselves. Melissa Hudson and her new company, HudsonDance, have created a theatrical feast designed to engage all the senses, with new choreography by Hudson and guests Bibliodance, as well as a corresponding taster menu of tantalizing hors d’oeuvres from the critically acclaimed Ghetto Gourmet.  Reservations strongly encouraged - dont miss it! Are you ready to whoop, laugh, shout, moan and groan with
delight? Well, hold on to your hats folks, The Gong Show Live
is coming to The Dark Room this February! See fearless
ringmaster, Chucky Baby (a.k.a. Chuck Barris, a.k.a. Craig
Dickerson of “Love Sick,” “Batman” and “Emperor Norton” fame)
wrangle the most motley group of drop outs, has-beens, freakers, tweakers, rejects and flat out weirdos ever to grace the stage of
The Dark Room Theatre. In the spirit of the original 70’s variety
show competition, Swift Kick productions brings you “The Gong
Show Live”.

Our All Star Celebrity Judge line-up includes Bad
Movie Night alumi Mikl M, Sherilyn Connelly, Dr. Hal, Geek Boy
and Jim Fourniadis as well as Dave McKew from Uphill Both Ways,
Mr. “Odd By Nature” himself Sean Owens and special guest judge,
“Cannibal the Musical” creator and "Dad’s Garage" founder,
Sean Daniels.

Acts that manage to get away without being gonged, will be scored
by our celebrity judges on a scale of 1-10. The highest scored act at
the end of the show wins a special secret grand prize. Come be a
part of the insanity!

First Ever
Fundraiser for Dance Brigade

WE NEED NEW TAIKO DRUMS!!

Dance Brigade and friends are hosting the first ever Benefit FunRaiser, February 12 at Medjool's in the Mission District. This Fundraiser is to buy new drums for the Company. The Bay Area's premiere socially relevant, women-identified dance company has been performing in the Bay Area since 1975. After performing hundreds of benefits for other grass root organizations, Dance Brigade is hosting a fun packed event so that the community can support them back. Come dance to the rocking music of DJs Page Hodel, Edaj and Black, sample the delicious food from Medjool, San Francisco's finest Middle Eastern restaurant and see some of the area's most outstanding talent, Including Dance Brigade, Jennifer Berezan, Allan Frias from Fox TV's So You Think You Can Dance and his company Mind Over Matter and many more.

Dance Brigade builds community through the arts by creating, presenting, producing and teaching issue-oriented dance theater that explores the complex issues confronting contemporary Americans. Founded in 1984, Dance Brigade supports a seven-member professional women's dance company, operates the 140-seat Dance Mission Theater, produces an annual season showcasing emerging and established Bay Area choreographers, and conducts an instructional dance program that serves approximately 400 adults and 400 youth per week.
