WE NEED
NEW TAIKO DRUMS!!
Dance Brigade and friends are hosting the first ever Benefit
FunRaiser, February 12 at Medjool's in the Mission District. This Fundraiser is
to buy new drums for the Company. The Bay Area's premiere socially relevant,
women-identified dance company has been performing in the Bay Area since 1975.
After performing hundreds of benefits for other grass root organizations, Dance
Brigade is hosting a fun packed event so that the community can support them
back. Come dance to the rocking music of DJs Page Hodel, Edaj and Black, sample
the delicious food from Medjool, San Francisco's finest Middle Eastern
restaurant and see some of the area's most outstanding talent, Including Dance
Brigade, Jennifer Berezan, Allan Frias from Fox TV's So You Think You Can Dance
and his company Mind Over Matter and many more.
Dance Brigade builds community through the arts by creating,
presenting, producing and teaching issue-oriented dance theater that explores
the complex issues confronting contemporary Americans. Founded in 1984, Dance
Brigade supports a seven-member professional women's dance company, operates
the 140-seat Dance Mission Theater, produces an annual season showcasing
