Theater Heretic Theater presents Trouble is brewing
in the peaceful community of Cozy Corners when the evil pirate, Uncle Stew, in
an effort to lose his virginity, buys the lovely young maiden, Simone, despite
her love for the diligent Sheriff Ply. The help of good
friends, exhilarating songs and dances, and fabulous Aunt Anne from outer space
bring this living cartoon to a hilarious and unexpected outcome. Back by popular

WHEN: September 9 - 11, 2005 IXALT Dance Theater IXALT presents Enchanted Evenings, a two-day celebration of
dance, music, and spoken word that showcases the wealth and vibrancy of talent
within the Christian community. This incredibly rich evening will feature a
variety of Dance, Music, and Spoken Word. Genres presented include Modern,
Jazz, African-Derived, and Praise Dance, as well as Gospel, Classical, and
Contemporary Christian Music, Poetic and Prosaic Verse. Guest Artists include: Dance
Theater of the Gospel, Pirouettes of Praise, Destined to Dance Studios, and
more. There will be a post performance reception on Friday, September 16,
2005. WHEN: September 16 - 17, 2005 HERE/NOW: a festival of optimistic voices A celebration of promise and progress on politics, thought,
religion, and the state of the planet, including Scoop Nisker's Be Here Wow
and Nina Wise's Now What? as well as Works-in-Progress appearances by
Josh Kornbluth, Jerry Quickley, and Doug Jacobs. All of the projects are
focused on the power of hope, humor, and heavy lifting in navigating these
unnerving times. |
