Martha
Sue is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in San Francisco. She
received a BFA in Film/Video/Painting from The California College of Arts and
Crafts in 1996. Her internship at The Bay Area Video Coalition in 1997 led to
a career as a commercial animator, illustrator and designer and facilitated
explorations into media and web related art. In 2001 she was commissioned by
the RK Corral to create drawings and miniature sets for GoodGuy/BadGuy- a
multimedia performance/installation piece which recently toured the west
coast. Her personal work, an exploration of the humor and horror of childhood
via drawing, painting, fabric and sculpture has been exhibited in the bay
area and in San Diego. She is currently doing set design, art direction, and
graphics for two of the RK's upcoming works; The New Day and Fable. She is
also working with Deborah Slater Dance Theater exploring motion graphics,
miniature set designs and art direction possibilities for an upcoming piece.
